I have always enjoyed the photos of barns with quilt blocks adorning them. No barn here so I came up with this idea for the front of our home. The center is fabric covered wood and the rest is painted. I chose the Ohio Star as I was born in Ohio and so I stayed with my roots.

Very cute! When my DH and I go driving around we always look for "quilt barns". We don't see many - so it is always exciting when we do.

The other day we saw a "quilt garage"!

Thank you for all the kind words. Please share this idea and make one for yourself or a gift to another quilter. Any design can be used...I printed a pattern and then took it to be blown up to the size I wanted. Sanded and primed the plywood and painted.I used another thin wood block to cover with fabric and glued to the center. I will use a spray sealer for outside.
Have fun and show us your blocks!!
