    that is exactly what I was thinking...I keep the seam ripper, lint brush, snippers, etc there under the edge of my extension table...I do keep a bag on either side of that though for threads!...

    Love the idea. What kind of wood did your DH use for the cabinet top? We are going to work on my sewing loft this winter so I'm gathering ideas. I hope I'm able to incorporate your idea into the sewing space.

    This will be a definite for when my ship comes in, but failing that eventuality I've just taped a fine clear plastic bag to the edge of my sewing table.
