Take all your waste thread/strings and put them in a mesh bag in the yard in the spring. All the birds nest in your area will be decorated with colorful quilt string. :)

Thank you! My husband is doing the woodwork. I came up with the ideas for him to put in there. You know...he knows how he wants his shop set up...and I know how I want my sewing room set up.Lol. First thing I said was..."You have to remember at all times...you are building according to my height...not yours!" lol...I am short, he is several inches taller than me. A counter for him, won't do for me.lol And when I started telling him things I wanted in there, he would say, tell me that when we get to that point.lol But I'm glad he can and will do this for me. I always wondered what would happen if a carpenter and a quilter that could actually work together...came together. This I will find out now.lol

Mary, I will be glad to take pics and show you how the bags attach. But we haven't attached them yet, and it will probably be one of the last things we do. There is alot of work for the room just going into the counter part.lol So I knew that he would be having to climb under there quite a bit so I decided not to put the hangers in until done. but what they are is the little screws that you use in like the kitchen cabinets to hold coffee cups. One on either side of the opening to hold the bag up and open. But I will be posting more pics as we go along. lol
