I finished this quilt at the retreat in Oct....I bought the dresen plates on line at fleamarket.com. There were 36 of them and 5 had been sewn to muslin with black threat. The curved parts of alot of the block were frayed so I sewed them to lt. wt. pelon, doing only a circle cutting off the curved parts, and then stitched them to the background with the feather stitch on my machine. The woman I bought them from said she thought her aunt had made them in the 50's or 60's...really old fabric and some not 100% cotton. I like the way it turned out...

This quilt is stunning! I love seeing the very traditional patterns, especially here with such wonderful fabrics!

The red sashing and doted fabric are so complimentary to the Dresden plates. I like it. (maybe it is spelled - dotted?)
