I never thought about applique on it to change it up! Now that is a good idea. That one is completely hand pieced (the trees) I just got to the point that I hated what it looked like. I think I might take the borders off and try something else with it and maybe try something like adding some applique. Thanks so much k3n! Good thinking.

LoL pocoelle ... You are very kind thank so much.

sandpat .. those embrodery pictures take a while to do. I get too fussy with them. But, I too love the handwork. That is why I collect it too. It is wrong that someone doesn't charish it. I wouldn't part with my mother's work for anything.

And sweet bev ... How big are your blocks? I have some orphan blocks I did a long time ago waiting for a home.

The christmas snowmen really need another border on it. I just need to find one I like for it. Not sure which color to use though. Maybe the pink? That is the bad thing about designing as you go. Waiting for the quilt to tell what it wants. LoL!

I'd go with the pink for an outside border too.
i have designed some of my own stuff, but I was never brave enough to not have it all worked out before I started. I figured I could always change my mind 'during'.....("could" change my mind????...what day doesn't my mind change...should have been a kaleidoscope or something mercurial like that, lol)

Thank you all so very much. I am ashamed to tell you I have many more started and not finished up there. Some queen sized. Isn't that silly? There has been more quilts than I can count that I have given away as gifts that I wish I had taken pictures of. Wallhangings and clothing too. Oh well live and learn, maybe .... LOL! I am going to try and finish some of these up this year though. It really makes no sense to have them hanging atound in a drawer.

k3n ... LoL I know how that works too. :)

celeste .... I do love working on the leaves and trees. Especially fall colored ones.

quiltcrazy ... I am thinking pink too, but I will audition it and see.

I have errands to run this morning so I had better get moving. Tak to you all later. have a great day.

I love all of your work. I like it that you enjoy a variety of sewing things and shared them all with us. I think my fav is your embroidery. You do a great job!!!
