I used one of those vacuum seal bags to save space when taking a queen size quilt to the family reunion where it would be raffled off. Granted, it was only in the bag about 3 days, but spent those 3 days in the trunk of the car while we were traveling and it came out perfect. The only problem was that when I took it out, the binding had not finished itself. LOL. I can't say what it would have looked like if it had been in the bag longer, but we were traveling to NE from NH in July, so the trunk had to be hot; but no ill effects.

i have been using this storage for years...especially guest pillows & blankets..here in texas there is no 'linen closet' so storage is premium...i have never had a problem opening the bags...and when the company is gone, they go back in...i have had to replace my original set, b/c of age & drying out...but the storage works great...the space bag infomercial gives specials that are not available in the stores..but bed bath & beyond gives great coupons...i even use the small ones for packing in my suitcase, saving storage space when traveling...monica in a VERY HOT, HUMID texas....

What a great idea. I'm really surprised how flat the pillows are in the bags and how they fluffed right back up.

Be sure to check them every so often as those bags lose air.
