Wonderful tribute to your Dad. Wish mine was around when I started quilting so I could make him a quilt -- he spent over 30 years in the army (WWII -- Pacific and Korea) and he loved his time of service. He was way too young when I lost him.

Your quilt is awesome and I am sure your Dad will know in the bottom of his heart you made it for him. My Dad has Dementure and talks a lot about the past to. I find interest in the stories he tell's and it gives me glimpse into things that happened in his life that I never knew before.

Great job! I love patriotic colors in everything! And please thank your father for me for his service to our country.

Thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart for your kind comments and support!! I knew as quilters you would realize the depth of how much this quilt meant to me, something straight from my heart. I presented my darling dad with his quilt today and he cried. He was so touched by the quilt. Even though he couldn't really grasp the concept of the whole thing he was simply touched it was for him. It meant so much to me just to do this for him. It just doesn't matter to me that he can't remember who I am or my name but that I touched his heart.
Thank you everyone for understanding what a quilt can me when we give one to someone. I knew as quilters that you would, 'get it'!
