Your wall hanging is fabulous...I just took a class on something similar and had a blast working on it. I don’t know about you, but it is addictive. Great job and I wish you the best in your local quilt show.

Gorgeous! For people like me who grew up watching the Jacques Cousteau documentaries, and dreaming of becoming a marine biologist, this is the best quilt imaginable. I applaud your artistry.

I love a piece of artwork that draws me in. I spent over 5 minutes looking at this. You did a fabulous job with this piece. I love it. I would love to see it hanging in my home. Really nicely done!

I am touched by the many kind words and complements from this Q Board. Thank you.

Grace: You asked how I made the fish. Most were simply cut from fabric and fused to the background ... easy. Kathy and I shared our fabric stash, which doubled the variety of fish prints. The long fish on upper left corner was created by fussy cutting motifs from Kaffe Fassett fabric and fusing them in place onto a large fish pattern I found in a book. The large round fish on 3rd panel (my personal favorite) was created with the Joan Shay "appli-bond" technique. Her method creates a unique 3-D affect. If you are interested in learning how to do Appli-bond, search Joan Shay on YouTube ... she has a few video tutorials.
sue.ross: I, too, grew up watching Jacques Cousteau documentaries and have always been fascinated with the underwater world.
