Patti that's beautiful, I love the curve in your vine - it has so much movement to it - often they can look kind of static! :-D

    WOW!
I was a bit confused for a minute. I saw the colors and thought ... I put blue border around Bev's center <g> ... then, I saw my name and thought ... wow! Patti's camera really didn't do that blue justice! Then, I READ what Patti wrote and thought. I just had that center!
Then, reasoning kicked in and I realized ... the blue birds were gone, and FINALLY! I am with the program, thinking ... "don't think I am going to get away with a plain border this time .... hmmmm!"
    How PRETTY!
As a matter of fact, while I have y'all on the line, I was thinking about the old freezer paper/applique technique ... after how many years? I think I figured something out ... tell me if I am right or wrong.
I decide on a pattern. Trace it on the back of the freezer paper ... iron the waxy part to the BACK of the fabric with the seam allowance showing ... use the iron to press the seam allowance back on to the freezer paper, which is actually the paper side of the freezer paper .... is that correct? <wave>

Very GOOD! The blue in your border made the blue in the inner block POP! Making blue pop is a GOOD thing! <g>
As a matter of fact, until you added the blue border, I hadn't noticed that there is blue in the floral blocks ... just VERY attractive! <wave>

Mary...that blue looks wonderful on the center! It makes the whole thing POP! Great job! And you are much quicker than me...I'm still thinking about Ruth's.....Ruth, ya' got any special desires for yours?

omak...thats the way I do with the freezer paper too. I use spray starch and "paint" around the edges, then fold the seam allowance back onto the paper, iron...then pull the paper out. I have NO idea if this is right or not, but it works for me.
