    Default Picnic Blanket

i chose a beautiful thread for my most recent project, but it caused tension issues. the tension between the top and bottom thread is what locks the seam together, how i bind the fabric into a whole. the tension has to be in balance and when it's not, the threads snarl and break. the stitches are weak and easily torn and the whole falls apart. there is learning here for me, as i meditate on a difficult relationship with the recipient and an unexpected turn in our road as we leave our beloved school. tension and balance. strength and weakness. patience and perseverance.
