I was supposed to have this done for MIL for Christmas, but things got in the way. Finally got it done and I think it came out pretty good, if I do say so myself!
The label could have been a bit smaller, but oh well....MIL will brag on it about how much she loves it.

The colors are actually a bit brighter. I used all my Asian Fabric for this, so I hope she REALLY likes it. I don't usually use that fabric for something I will give away. I pretty much hoard it. lol

I'd brag about it too if it was mine. Great job!

Your jacket looks wonderful! Did you use the sweatshirt method, or did you create it another way? Thanks for sharing the photo.

Thanks!

candikan...I used the sweatshirt. Screwed up on it at the beginning, but stepped back, took a breath and then muddled thru it. I used Timtex (sp) for the pockets because I wanted them stiffer. MIL always complains about her pockets folding in on her when she goes to put something in them. This way, I don't think that will happen.
All in all, it was pretty easy to make.
One thing I did do that it doesn't say in the directions is....it says to CUT at the seams. I didn't. I took the stitches out (rip, rip, rip). That way, the sweatshirt fabric didn't "roll" on me.
