    Default Rubber Duckies

Our office admin is very pregnant. When did I start her quilt? 4 days before her shower! But I pulled it off and finished the binding 4 hours before the shower! Ride a VERY fast horse past this one! The flannel is very soft and sadly I was in such a hurry that my blocks aren't perfect matches-but the baby won't care, right?
She wanted rubber ducks in purple and yellow. I couldn't find purple duck fabric anywhere, so had to go with green, but the ducks are so cute I just can't be disappointed!
This is a modified Susannah block. My new favorite baby quilt design is to stitch to the side of the ditch, then finish it off with ties. And I free handed the outline of the ducks! When I finished the top I kind of yawned, but the quilting really helped this one! I can't wait to see her face when she sees it!
