I made this Cathedral Window pillow for my Mother as a gift. She loved it and placed it on her bed when making her bed up every day for the rest of her life. After Mom passed away in August of 2008 my eldest Sister (I have five sisters and two brothers) remembered that it was I that had made it, and how very much Mom loved it, so she returned it to me! It will be forever special to me. Thanks for looking and allowing me to share my special memories.

Pretty--I did 3 crewel pillows for my Mom--in her guest room so kittie cannot play with them, but she loves them. They took me about 150 hours per pillow----

We never know how much a simple gift can impact the recepient. It's wonderful to know that your mother loved your gift enough to use it all those years, and that your sister recognized the love enough to return it to you! You are blessed :-D

The pillow is beautiful, along with your memories! The same happened to me along similar lines, only it was a lap quilt I had made for my FIL. When he passed away, the family members returned it, and now our grandsons nap under it...especially the youngest one, whose middle name is the same as his great-grandfather. Makes me smile... :)
