Default String quilt - ready to quilt

This is my next top ready to be quilted. First attempt at a string quilt....done on a foundation piece. Another attempt to use up my scraps as I did with my Disappearing 9 Patch. Used a LOT of scraps, but I can't even tell that these two quilts even made a dent in them!! I think they multiply while you're not looking. I am putting a VERY thin batting in this one, as it will be heavier anyway with the extra foundation fabric in it. Hobby Lobby has a very thin batting that I will use.

It's beautiful! I love the light and dark contrast of your scraps.

Yes, they multiple in the dark when we turn out the lights... lol

Great string top! I like how you grouped lights and darks together. I swear scraps breed like rabbits!

Love this quilt, the alternating light and dark makes everything pop. Great idea to add to my bucket list, which is now overflowing with ideas. I better sew faster or take better care of myself if I expect to do all of the things on the list before it is too late.

Love how you put the scraps together with the light and dark scrap blocks. Putting a dent in scraps is like trying to take out a mother spider. Take her out and then all these babies jump off her back. Sorry, only comparison I can ever make of it. LOL!
