Actual quilt construction-many months. She has been a seamstress making bridal gowns and trousseaus and has to be reminded the guidelines are different for clothing/costumes versus quilting. She is a perfectionist at heart and wants everything perfect and to learn everything. I get her started and she runs ahead so she was not the average starting quilter to begin with. I also have to convince her that there is more latitude when it comes to color in quilting than in clothing.
