    Default Table runner turned mat

Did you ever have a project go wrong and need to do damage control? I found a free pattern online for making a runner with a border print. http://www.stitchintree.com/images/F...rderRunner.pdf

I cut the strips and was not able to get my fabric to work when cutting the 60 degree wedges for the ends. My fabric was a not a symmetrical repeat. I went into salvage mode and fussy cut wedges by centering one of the instruments on each wedge. This will finish up at about 20" across.

That is what is called a "creative adjustment." Great save.
