Sorry, went back and reread...he's 11. Same as my oldest GD. I haven't made her a quilt since she was crawling. Makes me feel guilty!!!!

Oh, I just love it. Don't tell him this but from a distance, parts of it resemble lace.
Was this a bought pattern or a found it free on the internet pattern?
Definitely would like to put it on my to-do list!

WOW - love it! Like so many others, where can I find the pattern? And do you rent out your grandson for fabric choices? He has a great sense of color.

Let's see if I can answer some questions here. As mentioned it is a pattern by "toadusew". I don't remember where I bought mine but if you use google you can find the toadusew web site and go from there. They have another pattern that is similar. Check them out. http://www.toadusew.com/

A few years back I realized, like pgthom that my grandchildren were outgrowing their little quilts. The eldest was turning 11 that year so I determined that would be the birthdays that got a new quilt. This is the second grandchild's quilt. Three more to go.

When I asked what colors Kyle wanted for his quilt he told his mom black and white. She laughed and said, "Lots of luck with that!" She had no idea! Kyle's only request was "No flowers!" There are no flowers and yes, it does have a lacy look but we're not telling him! He'll really like it.

I'm glad you all are enjoying see my efforts. Thanks for all the compliments. They do mean a lot. The sandwich is on the table. Who wants to help pin?

I really like that! It's bubbleliscous! I see lots of bubbles when I look at the whole quilt top :)
