Thanks. I was having trouble explaining what I envisioned for her quilt so I copied the picture and put it in a paint program and fingerpainted until I got the right color and straight enough lines that didn't cover too much of the quilt. It worked so well that I decided to try out all the other ideas too. I'm eager to see what she decides on.

I'll send you my address, so you can send your "ugly" quilt to me. I wouldn't want you to suffer the anguish of having to look at it. <G> (PS... so what's ugly about it? Am I not seeing something?)

I sure the quilting will pull it together too. I agree it's not ugly.

I agree, rummage in your stash and grab anything that is really vibrant/bright....hot orange, acid yellow, turquoise, audition it and see. Sometimes the most unlikey fabrics will work, picking out a subtle colour in the blocks. This is no ugly quilt....just a sleeping beauty. Add a "kiss" of colour and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Me, I would add a green print around the blocks...maybe something with deer or even coffee! But I like the red too. The other colors didn't send me though.
