    Fun project with lovely results. Go, Mom, Go! I am sure many of use hope to be still creating at age 98. Like your geese. You must have this "tricky" little block down to a science. Love the colors too. They work so nicely with the embroidery work.

    What a wonderful, beautiful treasure. I think the pattern is from CrabApple Hill quilts. My Mother completed the hand embroidered one from them that was a Christmas themed one "Winter Wonderland". My Mother is deceased, but I lovingly remember her every day..she shared her love of quilting, embroidering with me. So happy your Mom can continue to share her love of sewing and embroidering with you on your joint project!
