    Default Vintage Tin--A Special Quilt

I just finished the Vintage Tin quilt by Crabapple Hill. What makes it very special is that my 98 year old mother loved to embroider and did all of the blocks of this quilt except for one. She did them about a year ago and sadly can't do it anymore because of poor eyesight now. It was one of the last things she did and she really misses it. A group project--I did the piecing, she did the embroidery, and I had it quilted by a longarm quilter who did a fabulous job.

What a treasure! Please tell your mom she did a beautiful job on the embroidery, and your group project came out just gorgeous.

What a treasure to have the last work your 98yo mom did! It's a beautiful quilt, with gorgeous hand embroidery.

What a lovely collaboration. I hope there's something that can be done to improve your mother's eyesight so that she can embroider again.

Wow, that is absolutely amazing that at 97 she could still do such incredible embroidery! All around great quilt!
