T-Shirt quilt size: 90 x 120 . 30 blocks from shirts ranging from size 2 to 12 in childrens. It was done like a log cabin quilt. The panels have a hong kong strip to cover seams between the six panels going down. There are 5 blocks across and six panels with borders.

In my area, I would be able to get $200 for the labor and have them physically pay for all of the materials. That is the truly pricey part.

nice. don't know the price. But what's a Hong Kong Strip? I haven't a clue what you're talking about. Nor do I have any clue when you said that there are 6 panels?

I did the blocks in horizontal panels. Then I sewed to panels together making 1/4" in seam visible on the top . You place a 1 1/4" strip to the 1/4" seam and then you iron open the seam and fold the strip over the flat seam now and then you sew " I used the blanket stitch " down each side of the strip to keep it always in place. Panels are the five blocks completely quilted as you go. I sewed in the ditch of all the blocks . I was just given the t-shirts and I did all the cutting and used Pellon tricot interfacing on all of the t-shirt material so it would still be pliable but a little more stable without stretchin. I put in over 450 hours and finished in 2 1/2 months. Trish
