I had these triangles left over from the attic windows that are in the baby quilt I'm making for my DIL. I try to save all the triangles from my quilts. I usually sew 'em into HSTs then throw 'em in a drawer. Some day I'll make 'em into something. I've already made some pinwheels. Well as I was sewing these together. I started playing with the layout. The next thing I knew I had this all sewn together! :D I think I'll make a pot holder out of it. Shown here are the old washrags that I'll use for batting & several different fabrics scraps that I'm auditioning for backing & borders.

Here it is finished! Most of my points line up, I did have to piece my back, border & binding 'cause I wanted to use only scraps. I didn't take the time to block it so it's not square. Its my first time to FMQ. I did cheat I used "Stippling made easy" paper & followed it. I think this will teach me how to FMQ.
I seem to be having a hard time loading these 2 picts!!
