Default How is the Quilt of the Week selected? I ask, because it seems to be mine!

I was just reading along and noticed that the Quilt of the Week is mine, one of two that I made a little over two years ago. It actually won a blue ribbon in our local quilt show, but I sure am surprised to see it over to the right of the page!

I am honored, and wonder how it was selected. Did its turn just come up?

I didn't use a pattern for that quilt, just sort of made it as it spoke to me. Then I made another in mirror image, and the two are in a room of my house on two twin beds.

What a nice surprise! (Particularly since I am struggling with a more challenging Bargello right now...)

It's VERY pretty! Congratulations, both on the blue ribbon and being selected for Quilt of the Week!

grammasharon, I was going to ask the same question. I've never heard of this before. Where do we view it? Is a different one posted each week? This is a cool compliment to our wonderful board member quilters.

I don't know in how many places it is, but when you go to Main or Pictures, it is on the middle of the right side of the screen, beside all of the threads that are listed....or at least that is where it is on my screen. I have always admired them, but never thought too much about them until today.

Funny! Don't be hard on yourself. Usually there are ads in places like that... I just barely noticed it, and have no idea how long it has been up....one day or seven. But it was a nice surprise.

Ah-ha, I found it. Now I need to start looking there every week. For some reason I thought all things on the right side were advertisements. Silly me! Dina, it's a really pretty quilt. Congrats to you!
