so many nice finishes. I'm still out of commission due to the bad cold that my little brother gave me when I saw him at Easter. I've fired him and am looking to hire a new little brother LOL. Hopefully, I'll be back to UFOing in the next couple of days...

In a Boomerang swap you send out fabric from YOUR stash to the other participants who add fabric from THEIR stash and make a block that they send back to you. You in turn will get fabrics from all the others and make them each a block from their fabric and some from your stash. When all the blocks have been returned, everyone has a bunch of sampler blocks that are unified by the original fabric.

I'm trying to find someone to blame for my cold, but think it could be any one of the 5 Grands up the road...can't get rid of any of them....meanwhile it's kept me out of the fabric stores...including the one I work at...

Madquilter, thanks for answering for me. I've been busy this weekend, working outside in the yard and then I had some swap blocks left from a batik swap that had been made into baby quilt size or a table cloth for my indoor patio. Just needed quilted and binding....as of today both of them are done and can be used or donated. Will post pics tomorrow but I'm sure glad they are out of the drawer and can be used!!

sorry to hear about the colds. The weather has been wonky here and causing a bunch of health problems. So far I haven't caught anything but pollen. Having said that...

These are the batik squares I mentioned. Good size for baby quilts or a table top. They ended up 45"x 45"

I have been oh, so busy with work this semester that I have had little time for quilting or catching up on UFO's. This week-end I promised myself no work and time for me. I chose to pick stones out of my yard and work on some blocks I had cut during my quilt retreat. So, I now finished 8 of 13 star blocks cut and the other 5 blocks partially finished. The remaining 12 blocks are also partially finished. This is a scrappy quilt the lends itself to chain piecing, thus all the partial blocks. Next week-end.....more blocks finished then following week-end at guild work day, sandwich. Well, that is the plan.

Love seeing all your finishes and hearing your adventures.
