I've had problems with getting the colors to show with my camera also. I've found by putting them under the light I use to sew by, I can get much closer to the true colors. That is why mine look like they are under a spotlight - because they basically are!

It has taken me some time, deciding, trying, failing, then settling to do these blocks. I wanted something different, and with a dear friend's help, decided to do them this way. She told me if I didn't post them, she would, so here they are..lolo I am pleased with how they are doing. I'm using a silver gray color thread. I am doing them on an 8" block.

I really like the way they look done just the embroidery. I think it would really neat to have some that way and some applique.

Jean, those look wonderful, rich and elegant. I think the background fabric really makes it, would make a wonderful Valentine's Day quilt or wedding quilt, I am thinking romance and love.

I am impressed with all the different looks these blocks can have with everyone's fabrics and methods.

Wow, I really love your choices here! I'm so tempted to go ahead and do this myself also.

So beautiful! I know you said that the colors aren't showing properly, so it must be even more stunning in person. I'm also having those issues with my camera.

Thanks for the compliments, I'm pleased with it, finally...lolo My goal is to try making 2 a day, depending on life. I've learned some short-cuts on doing the embroidery, cuts down on time.

DH might be out of the house all day on Saturday, leaving me to entertain myself! I want to embroider all the blocks I've cut out and fused so far. Anyone else have any plans for the weekend?

Our quilting group is having a work day at the presidents house. She provides lunch and everyone just brings whatever they want to work on. I'll be working on these.
