Here is the recipe we have used for the last 60 years:
Blond Brownies
Mix together
2 2/3 cups flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

Melt 2/3 cup butter
Add 2 1/4 cup brown sugar
Cool 10 minutes

Beat in 3 eggs one at a time
Add flour mixture
Add 1 cup nuts and 1 cup chocolate chips.

Spread in greased 15"X11"X1" pan
Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
