I am hosting my first Quilt Retreat this weekend and if it goes well ( Please Lord!!) then I will plan another in the spring. I am doing some demos of whatever anyone wants to see. And taking them to my favorite fabric store. It is a Mennonite store called the Dutchman's Store and they have everything an Amish person would buy for the home. So they have a good size fabric side and boots and toys and dishes and bulk grocery that can be cheaper than the regular stores. It will be fun. We go there about once a month. It is one of my regular places to buy fabric. The prices average around $5 a yard.
So maybe you can plan to come next spring!!
If some of us should come, are there places around where we could stay? For instance bed & breakfasts?
I live in North Central Fl. I'd probably have to fly.

Yes the B & B we are in now has several rooms. There are other options for a retreat but I really like the atmosphere of this one. It is along the river and has a lot of history to this little town.

Count their beds, I bet we could fill it up very quickly! What are the students wanting to learn from you? I bet you had a great day today. Maybe in the spring it could be 3-4 days? Just a thought, if this week-end goes well........
