    That one is worth dickering for. The bobbin case will cost you $30 and up depending where you purchase it.

    Beige Singer 301A long bed sewing machine with trapezoid case. S/N NA1636474. This machine works and sews nicely. However, it is missing the bobbin case. These can be found on ebay pretty easily. Use or part out.
    My question is: How can the seller tell if it sews nicely when the bobbin case is not there? It won't sew without the bobbin case.

    My only conclusion is that the seller has the bobbin case and is selling it on eBay. Hunt up 301 bobbin cases on eBay and I'll bet you find this scammer.
    I'm not normally one to dis a seller, but this add makes me really suspicious.

    Sew-Classic sells 301 bobbin cases for $39.95 + shipping. { http://www.shop.sew-classic.com/Bobb...-SCBC45751.htm }

    I wouldn't even grace the front door of this seller.

    This the guy that is selling the fabulous Red Eye for $30. He has another 301 he is selling as well, that presumably has a bobbin case, so maybe he tested the one in the OP with that one.

    That machine in the OP looks good enough that it wouldn't make much sense to sell the bobbin case separately, since he could sell them both together and make more than what he would by selling them separately.
