Singer 66-1 1922
Well, I'm a dork!
My first partial disassemble cleaning. Upon reassembly, I end up with 2 extra small screws. What do I do?

Can you tell us exactly what you removed and post a picture of the screws next to a ruler to see the size?

When I was working on my sister's 66-1, I printed out the "plates" for the screws from the parts list and found it to be really handy. I was pretty good about just doing one section at a time and tried to take lots of pictures. However, there were times when the screws were quite similar and by holding up to the print out, I could go to the numerical list (which starts on about pg 17) and could generally figure out where it was supposed to go. The parts list I used was the one found at https://web.archive.org/web/20190727...rts/66-1_3.pdf
I believe it is the same one at https://www.manualslib.com/manual/15...nger-66-1.html I printed it out "actual" size.

JANEY, I FINALLY GOT BACK IN HERE!
Great idea! I actually print out whatever I can find, such as parts lists, although not as diligent more recently. I wish I had such documentation for all my machines.

Thanks for the great idea, Janey.
Fortunately, I was able to compare my work to a completed 66-1 and found the holes.
Now I have a tiny zip lock bag trick. When I take out the screws, I slide it into a baggie with the appropriate parts. Things are going much smoother now.

Thank you for the Parts List manual. I'm now on my 3rd 66-1 and getting pretty good at it.
