I am in the process of maintaining and reviving my Bernina Virtuosa 150 QE. The machine was working beautifully before undertaking the work, although the handwheel was quite tight.
I stripped and serviced the belt tension roller and whilst replacing this assembly, the drive belt (Base Shaft) disengaged and now the top and bottom cogs need to be realigned.
Although I have consulted the Service Manual, I can’t find any specific information on achieving the correct synchronisation/timing or indeed the adjustments necessary to achieve this.
I attach several photos of the machine and close ups of the tension roller assembly and the hook area.
Any advice in this regard would be appreciated.
