Default Can you help me find out more about this machine?

    Hello!
I was recommended to check this forum for help figuring out this "new" machine from another forum. I am making dog collars with a friend, and we have been using her machine, however, I wanted to make them in my own home, so I was able to get a hold of this machine from my parents.

I have the instruction manual, but it isn't very in depth, so I was hoping to be able to find youtube tutorials and such, but for the life of me, I cannot find ANYTHING about this machine online. It is a "Dial n Sew" Tri-cycle model # 3110. It was made by Koyo Machine Industries for Dial n Sew. Anyone know anything about them? I can't even find out how old the machine is!

I attached a photo of the machine.

    Just,

    http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage...s-t207877.html

this is 19 pages of stuff, and dial a sew is mentioned several times.
Also a search on this page showed up a number of references of dial a sew.

Welcome aboard! I don't know how much more you're going to find on it. A lot of the Japanese manufacturers made machines for anyone who bought enough to put their name on them.
That's the bad news. The good news is there are probably a whole bunch of similar machines out there with slightly different outer parts but the same insides. There's a very good chance Singer Class 15 bobbins and standard needles will fit. It looks like a pretty decent machine from the late 60s or early 70s to me. Do you have the piece that fits on the front for when you don't need the free arm? Be very happy you have the manual. Even if it is basic it beats not having one.
    Sorry I'm not more helpful,
    Rodney
