Default Davis foot travel and Arm adjustment

    Hello all,

Just got my Davis back together (pictures later) and I have two questions.
    1. Is the walking foot supposed to come up higher than in the picture below? I placed penny next to it for reference. I feel as though I remember that it did, but I'm not sure. If so, is there an adjustment for this?

    2. The arm that I am touching with the pointer in the picture below is coming down and actually contacting the plate as it slides backwards when sewing. Is this supposed to actually touch the bottom plate, or is it supposed to be adjusted up?

    Thanks,
    Brandon

I found out there was very, very small burr on the presser rod that was preventing it from going all the way on. This allowed the extra distance.
