I found a listing for a treadle sewing machine. I have not yet seen it in person but it appears to be labeled J. Mullins. I could be wrong because the picture is small and the words become blurry when you enlarge it. I have done a search for J mullins treadle sewing machine and the only thing I see is a PDF of a patent document to improve the mechanism for a treadle machine.

Has anyone every heard of this machine and have any insight into it (ie. what type of bobbin, how difficult would it be to find parts, etc.).

I plan to go see the machine tomorrow but would really appreciate any insight that anyone might have.

The irons are exactly the same as the ones on my 1917 Davis NVF. Cabinet is different though.

Davis Model M made in the Teens. Takes Davis Long bobbins which can be difficult to find but available on ebay. Looks like it's late enough to use a 15x1 (common) needle. Make sure the shuttle is present. Same machine as Minnesota Model C which there's much more information on.

I decided not to get this machine because I found one listed closer to me. I will post another thread with pictures.

Davis is sort of an odd ball maker. You can never go wrong with a Singer treadle---almost indestructible and parts are easily available if needed.
