Default Shouldn't There Be a STICKY On Packing SMs For Shipping?

I recently won another SM for my collection. I wanted to make SURE (OK, don't laugh,) that the seller packed the machine properly, so I sent him a couple of messages with links on instructions on how to pack a sewing machine for shipping. Here's what I sent him:

    http://www.ebay.com/gds/How-to-pack-...0206002/g.html
    http://web.mit.edu/xiphmont/Singer/m...s-packing.html
    http://mysewingmachineobsession.blog...-shipping.html

It would be nice to have an all encompassing instructional STICKY here as a reference on this subject that would be easy to link to and would show up in the search engines. Doncha think?

    Steve,

Would it be too much trouble to send me a PDF version of your instructions? I'd greatly appreciate it!
I'll send you a pm with the address to send it!

Steve, that should be our STICKY. It's a good article.

MY new SM should be arriving any day. The seller packed the case in a separate box, which was thoughtful. I offered to pay $20 more in shipping costs to make sure he packed it all well. I just hope everything arrives safely. And yes, I did check his history and feedback before I bid. Thanks for the tip, though.

You should also check the thread "Tease" because it shows me unpacking two machines in one box that were packed perfectly.

Update: My sewing machine and case arrived yesterday in absolutely perfect condition. I'm so happy! It was packed beautifully. I suspect that the seller is a QB member because not only was it packed with extreme care, it was wrapped in quilt batting. Hummm...now which one of you is it?
