I agree!! Gorgeous! I'd be all over it if it wasn't several thousand miles away and a border crossing to contend with.

    $400? Really? http://edmonton.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-...AdIdZ512752823

This one though, I like... http://edmonton.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-...AdIdZ512580486

Sheluma, this one's for you: The manual is a 431, but that's not a 431.... looks like a chain stitcher though: http://edmonton.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-...AdIdZ512544196

Ha!! I totally missed that! It's in beautiful shape as far as the decals, so possibly not a lot of use, but still.

It does look nice. I found a 15-clone Montgomery Wards machine at the Salvation Army, and it was in excellent shape as well, though I payed a heck of a lot less than $400 for it.

I don't think a lot of people are going to pay $400 for this one either...

    Speaking of....I guess this one's a steal at $300...

There was one of those on the local Craigslist selling for $70 for the cabinet and a Singer 600.

The Singer 600s & 603s can be good machines. They are closely related to the 401 and 500 internally in all but the bobbin winder. They are pretty much all metal machines. I can't get wild about the bobbin winder...
