Thanks, after I asked, I started searching on Google and found some information. I did get a manual as well, so I will need to go to my studio and it probably has that number in the manual someplace. This is fun. Thanks again.

Even if you weren't sure about the motor/belt differences, if you look just to the right of the stitch length selector lever, you can see one of the grease cups for the gears. That's also a sign of a "potted" motor, gear-driven machine (15-91 or 201-2).

Wow! $25.00 for a 15-91! I paid $45.00 for mine and I thought that was a bargain. You will love it.

Love my 15-91 and a wonderful lady gave it to me. It's in the shop right now waiting for me to pick it up. It was a wiring issue that I didn't feel comfortable dealing with. Gotta get her this week...miss her. I do need to have a box base made for her...she didn't come in a cabinet. I don't have room for a lot of cabinets so I opt for tabletops. Although it's not that I lack for machines to sew on...I'm sitting here looking at my 2 FW and my 301A! LOL And don't tell but there are 4 more sitting in my sewing room and 4 more in the garage!! HeHe

Yes, this is an addiction but one, I hopefully, won't go to jail for!!

1934 is the year I was born. Maybe it would be nice for you to pass the machine on to me. Ha Ha.

The thing about it was this was the first auction I had gone to in many years and I really wanted the machine, the auctioneer started at $100, then to $75, then to $50, then to $25.00 no one was bidding on it so I raised my number, now I wonder if it might have gone as low as $5.00 if I had waited. But no worries, I still think I did okay.

My Sister was born in 1935 and I think of her every time I see my sewing machine. I would love to share with you if you were closer. LOL

Pretty machine! I recently bought a 15-91 - and I LOVE that machine! It's my favorite (and now primary) sewing machine. Such a good buy too! :-)
