1940's White
I was given a 1940's White machine in a cabinet. It appears to have had very little use.
Mostly just dirty from sitting around. It has the book and lots of attachments. I have oiled it.
I can't get the top thread to pick up the bobbin thread. Any suggestions? Thank you.

I would check that the needle is in the correct way, correct threading of both top and bobbin thread. Cleaning can be an issue, especially if it's very dirty with built up lint and thread mess, it can prevent upper thread not interlocking with the bobbin thread properly. We need more info and pictures to give more detailed help.
