Can you post a pic of the test strip with the threads different colors for top and bottom? It sounds like your bobbin tension is a little tight by your description.

Also, try the tests I have on these pages:
http://www.archaicarcane.com/fragile...-equal-stress/

I really do think you're very close. Sorry I haven't been around to help with the other issues, I'm a scatterbrain lately.

ETA: I really do intend to add photos to those posts one day. Really. I do.

There's a top (purple) and a bottom (white).

It looks like your machine is skipping stitches and that you have a timing issue, not necessarily a tension problem.

That's half of it.

ETA: It strikes me that the last time we tampered with that big screw at the bottom, we spoiled the timing too. Let me ask DH if that was it. It's easy to set back though.

I'm not wanting to be an idiot here (or anywhere else), but it just occurred to me that you didn't say that you know the 201 threads right to left. Please tell me you do and I'll shut up.

Yes. That's how I'm been threading her. And nope, not an idiot. That's me with this one. I probably need to stop fooling with it for a while, I have plenty of other things I could be giving my attention to.

I really hope bottom timing isn't it. The manual reads like whoa for that. I'll have to look at that when I'm having a good brain day.

I was right. They talk about it in the TFSR manual (page 5) http://www.tfsr.org/pub/technical_in...obbin_area.pdf

Timing is really not a hard thing to do. It's achieved boogie man status but it's really mostly a teddy bear. I do agree though, it's something best taken on with a clear head.

If it comes time to do it, email me and we'll walk through it step by step. Do check it though using the link I posted.
