Default 301 Singer question

I have two adorable 301's that I would like to find a new home for.? Are these machines in demand? I know they don't weigh much and great to travel with. So should I try to sell them and if so what price range? I must admit I am more partial to the 15's, yet I love them all and don't have any room for them. They need to come out to play some. I just have time to give them the love & play they deserved. Kinda sad to think of parting with them, yet.

301s have a lot of fans, bed length, color, condition, location demand in your area and tea leaves all figure in to pricing. watch ads in your area.. and if you can, check sold prices.

It seems that prices really depend a lot on your area. I found a 301 in a cabinet with all of the accessories, for twenty five dollars. The woman that sold it had just dropped the price from fifty dollars the morning that I saw her ad on Craigslist. Another ad has run for over a year, $125.00 with no case, cabinet or accessories.

I have my mom's 301 and it's a really nice little machine. I think there is a market for them, but sadly there doesn't seem to be much money in them here.

I paid one month's wages for a 301 in 1956. As a teacher, that wasn't much by today's standards. I still have it and still love it.

thanks all, I do love the vintage singers, so it won't break my heart if I end up keeping them if I can't find a good home for them. I love how they clickity clack as they are sewing along!

The brown ones seem to be going for $100 - 200.00 plus shipping on Ebay unless they have all the attachments and extras with them. I bought mine 5 years ago for $350.00 but it is painted sapphire blue and was fully reconditioned. It's a nice machine but I should never have paid that much!

My first piecing machine was a Mocha 301A I paid $75 for it in 2004. Then I purchased a tan and cream 301. I just recently purchased a 301 long bed with a case, attachments, and manual for $150. My machine guy said I made a great deal -- the machine was in almost new condition. As Featherweight demand and prices continue to increase, the demand for the 301s is increasing. At this point, there are still great deals out there, but demand is growing as is pricing. I am now looking for a black one.

I love my 301"s as well as the FWs. It depends on area you're in & condition of it I have heard they sell between 15-100, depends if in table.. case or cabinet and if any attachments with it
I would love to have an table or cabinet for mine though
