I got mine at a thrift store for $30.00. It was clean and sews like a dream. It also has several cams. I was very fortunate.

Margaret, I sold my 401A several years ago and have regretted it ever since. Loved that machine almost as much as I love my Bernina 1260 that replaced it. Have fun.
