Default Antique vs Vintage vs Retro vs Nostalgia

Found this article today when I was looking for a "definitive" guide to the differences.
http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/age-defining-an-130615

I thought it was quite interesting, especially some of the comments

I have the same problem There's not a lot of floor in my sewing room right now, and I think that side of the house may be sinking.

Well, heres my definitions:

Antique = 100 years old or older

Vintage = 50 years old or older .... like me

Retro = Something squeeky new made to look like last generations goodies.

Nostalgia = A: "Hey, that's just like grand moms machine!" "I want it."
B: "You don't need it".
A: "Yes I do, I don't have a good machine."
B: "You do to, I just bought you a Janome from Walmart!"
A: "Yep, that's what I said, I don't have a good machine, I want this one. It will sew."

When I first got married (55 years ago) the furniture I had was "donated" by relatives. We described it as "early attic" a term which I still use for hand me downs that aren't antique or vintage.
