Her name is "Brittany" She is Heather's Son's dog who lives with us for now. She is just happy to be warm and cozy (she was a rescue)

You betcha. I suspect she sews now, just I'm not knowledgeable enough to thread her up correctly.
There are a few points that need cleaning before she will let thread slide smoothly, but there is no reason why she should not sew. (welcome to the joy of purely mechanical machines)
