    Cari in oly

I have a 9 spoke wheel. They work fine on 2 other machines, but I am learning that even if the spokes are correct there are variations in depth and clearances on the back side. THat's not an issue on larger machines, but does affect these smaller 99.
I noticed there is a slight shoulder on the OE solid handwheel and that is lacking on the spoked wheel, that combined with the slightly deeper hole, causes it to touch.
    Leon F ,

Do you happen to have a repro hand wheel that could be measured for the depth of the hub?

I'm wondering if a repor might be a better solution

    YES, I'm seeing that.
I did figure out if I removed the belt guard/bobbin winder I took care of the clearance issue on the back side.
It was ever so slightly rubbing the screw for the bobbin.
BUT it's still a hair too deep on the hub and makes the stop motion knob touch the s\bolt on the hand crank for the gear.

I found this from a long ago post from Thayerags, who used to hang here and had a lot of knowledge.

If it came off of a Singer 66, it must be a 9-spoke. I don’t think they ever put a 6-spoke balance wheel on the model 66.

The reason that I asked, is because the 6-spoke wheels that I’ve come up with all seemed to have a deeper hub than the 9-spoke. I think that my 6-spoke wheels have all come from model 27 machines.
