Bobbins for antique machines
I was gifted with a Morse Photomatic III by a woman on Freecycle. I also purchased a 301A Singer at an estate sale. Both machines came with lots of attachments and manuals. They did NOT, however, come with more than one or two bobbins.
Where can I find bobbins for these machines? Does the 301A use the same bobbin as a Featherweight?

Yes, the FW and the 310 use the same bobbin. april1930sshoppe or sew-classic have those. The other machine probably uses a standard metal class 15 (fat with holes in it) and those are available at sew-classic or on ebay or at your local repair place. My LQS has carried everything I've needed. If you can get originals for the 310, it will be good. Mine are repros and I had to do a little work with a pair of pliers to make the machine happy. No big deal.
Please post pictures. We love pics. BTW, these are usually considered vintage as they are from the 50s era. Antiques are closer to 100 years old.

They mostly have just plastic ones which don't work at all well with the older machines. I agree with Miriam...only buy the metal bobbins from the online sources. Don't put plastic in the older machines.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I'll try finding them online - although I may buy one or two from Joanns if they have them, just to try.
My hubby is going to be recuperating from surgery for two to four weeks and I'll be pretty well housebound. I thought I'd get these two machines set up and play with them while I'm running to and fro taking care of him.

I'd post photos, but camera is not working well. I know they're probably called vintage; however, they're almost as old as I am and I consider myself an antique - so do my dozen or so great-grands.
