Default Cannot sew or plow with this machine!

Thought all of you vintage enthusiasts might get a kick out of seeing this item ..... although it also might make some of you sad or sick or disgusted or laugh or (fill in the blank) _______________. Previously the photo had a Toy Story character (the Cowboy character .... what the heck is his name?) planted in the seat.

I like it better than some I've seen. Have no trouble with this until I run into someone selling the machine and they say it's worth $50 because I can turn it into a tractor and sell it for way more. . . And yes, I have encountered that a time or two in SD.

I think it's cute! Hopefully, the sewing machine was in horrible disrepair and that is how they recycled it. Just to take a very good working machine and turn it into a toy would be above and beyond horrible.

If someone has decided that their machine is beyond service as a sewing machine then turning it into Americana art is kool with me. I too think it's cute and it would look great in a garden.

Wink

I knew some of you would like it and some not so much. I agree with tessagin in that I hope it was a non-repairable machine that had no worth so they did something cool with it. I also agree with Sunflowerzz. It would look so neat in a garden setting. Oh and thanks Mariposa; it was driving me nuts that I couldn't remember Woody's name. My grandson would disinherit me if he knew that happened!!!

I just found the photo with Woody on board in case you want to see it. It gives you a good idea of the size .... not that you all don't know how big a sewing machine is!!!

(My dh says the wheels are probably from a lawn mower.)

Well, I like it. That is what I call using the tools of the trade to make something to just sit around and create a conversation piece.

It's hilarious and I laughed: It's truly a "sowing machine" now
