[ATTACH=CONFIG]371377[/ATTACH][ATTACH=CONFIG]371378[/ATTACH]Here are a couple of mine. The first is my newest. She is a 1951 Centennial edition model 15 and I LOVE her. Her name is Matilda and she FMQs with the best of them. The second one is an old Morse from about 1960. Her name is Chevrolet and she looks like a cross between a juke box and a 57 Chevy. My oldest machine is my grandmother's 1907 Singer model 27 treadle. Her name is Elizabeth and she pieces quilts like a dream. I have a 1925 Singer 66 that I plan to paint pink, but she is at the spa right now. Oh heavens, the list goes on, but I love each and every one of them.

I'll get chewed out for this I'm sure, but your forum name brought back some memories. I had a kitty named Boopie. She lived to be 15 years old. I lost her about 5 years ago to diabetes. Here's a couple pics of her:




She made three trips across country with me back in late 98 and early 99. Lots of memories of her.

Beautiful cat, Joe. I had a brown and black tiger who made a cross country trip with 4 humans and 2 large dogs in a minivan. He did fine even with a 4 yr old and a 1 yr old as 2 of the humans. Way off topic, sorry about that.

I have a White Electric Rotary black crinkle born in 1949(same year as me)lol. I have a White Electric Rotary brown crinkle that I can't get dated. They say the # I give is not the right serial #.

I could swear I've already posted, but I don't see anything. I think my oldest is my Minnehaha from around 1912. It was my first "rescued" machine. It's a treadle that I found in the musty basement of an estate sale and I bought it for $5. The same man who was having the sale, called me a few weeks later and told me that if I wanted the other machines, I could have them, but I'd have to take them all. He gave me a White Crinkle from around 1940, a Kenmore from the late 60s and a DeLuxe Emporium made in Japan from around the same era.

Oooooooh, Joe, I love that you love cats too. My little lady was named Lulu, my grandkids all hated her; she lived and moved with us from TX to TN to NC and back to TN--18 years. Brings tears to my eyes right now from missing her--even though we do have another "kinda calico" now, named Patticake and my grandkids hate her too. They have asked me what I do to my cats to make them not like kids.....I'll answer the question on collected and ages of machines that I own some other time.

Simply beautiful ! I rescued my mother-in-law's 1928 Singer treadle from an old damp warehouse. Only cost $95 to clean and ready to sew condition. Worth every penny.

i have my grandma's 66-1 treadle with back-clamp feet - the cabinet and irons are off being restored right now. it dates from 1917. until August i had a 503a Rocketeer (1961) which was the machine i made everything on. then something happened in August (i'm not sure what!!) when i found and bought another Rocketeer for my daughter. Craigslist is who we can blame for the rest.

a week or two later, i found a 1942 15-91 in a dead case for $30, a week or two after that i got another 66-16 (1927) in a beautiful queen anne style cabinet for $40. then a couple of weeks later . . . i fell in love with a centennial featherweight from 1950 and Gussie came to our house too.

it's hopeless. i found this place and with the number of machines people here have, i am just a babe at this.

oh yeah, i have my mother's 1960ish Pfaff as well, although as soon as my other daughter gets moved it'll go to her.

Joe, i have a diabetic cat as well -he's about 15 and his diabetes was caused by a tumor on his pituitary gland. he's the best cat ever - a long-haired orange maine coon. cats are just furry people, if only they lived longer.

My oldest machine is a Singer 1886 Improved Family (the earliest model 15 with a round bobbin). She is also in the earliest Drawing Room cabinet with a spring loaded lift. She was very dry and still needs a treadle belt but great shape considering her she's 126! I found her on Portland craigslist last summer. The seller said she belonged to an elderly neighbor that asked her to sell it at her garage sale (it hadn't sold). I also have my Grandmother's 1928 66-6. My cousin had it in her garage and her husband wanted her to throw it out. So it was a true rescue too.
