Default Estate sale find

I got a Singer 9005 at an estate sale & need help in getting the bobbin thread in the holder. It came with the manuel but even with pictures I cannot understand how to hook the thread in the holder.
Can someone help?

Are you asking about how to snap the thread into the guide post? Looks like from this instruction that it just snaps in by pushing the thread downwards.

That's what I thought but the thread will not go under that guide.

Page 15 shows how to load the bobbin in the bobbin holder. If you can't get the thread into the slot maybe something is bent?

Like others have said, if it won't go in something is either bent of there is a thread jam/lint that needs to be cleaned out.

Thank each of you for your suggestions. I have tried these suggestions & now wonder if like Macybaby said that maybe something is bent. I will be taking it to the nearest repair shop.
