The camstack on these are often broken or cracked, so it's not one I would ever buy without looking under the hood.

Yes Candace, but can't you see it's pink?!
Actually, if the camstack is often cracked it suggests there is something inherently wrong, so even if it's not cracked it might not remain so for long. Do you know what causes them to crack? Could it be age?

It cracks because it's plastic. This also is a 70s machine, not 60s. Almost nothing in that ad is correct. The only thing about that machine that's cool is the color.

It's a 1960s straight-stitch. The belt is visible next to the winder. Not a vibrating shuttle but I wonder if it's oscillating or full rotary.
