Default Feather weight sewing belt

Opinion needed. I want to get a used feather weight belt. Where can I order this belt. And what do I need. Serial # model #. I was told to get a used rubber belt. More flexiable Wont be as stiff. Any help with what I need to do. Don-isewman

Every featherweight came out of the factory with a new belt. Some old one get so stiff they set. I'll let others answer where. I haven't bought one (yet). Don't tighten the heck out of it. Just snug. I enjoyed my visits to Muscatine. My son worked there for a short bit.

This place is very nice. They have lots of tutorials, free shipping, and always answer my emails.
Hope this helps.

I see that. There's been a name change since I needed 301 parts, though I do need a new bobbin winder donut for my lastest.

April1930s bought out Graham Forsdyke in the UK when he retired, that's why the name change. Don, I don't know who told you to get a used rubber belt but I would not use a rubber belt new or used on any sewing machine. The rubber belts are very hard on the motors. A proper fitting V belt is what you want.

I see a belt on Nova Montgomery's site: https://www.novamontgomery.com/shop/...sories-Etc.htm. She specializes in 221s. She gives talks and classes on 221s.
