I received my machine yesterday and was inquiring in the main section how to get rid of the smell in the case. The machine has a smell to it too but not as bad. Someone suggested I come here as there is a man that can help me with the smell and cleaning. Can anyone tell me where the Ckeaning of Vintage machines section would be?

I have 5 ( 4 black and 1 white ). I've been thinking of selling 3 of the black ones since I also have a treadle, a 301 and a Brother. I'd like to find a buyer in the middle TN area because I prefer not to ship and have possible damage. I use them as much as I can.

I have two FWs, one was made in 34 and the other in 48. The 34 is in bad shape but sews great and other one is in pretty good shape and now that I have the tension right it also sews great. The 48 came with the case, all the attachments and a serial numbered FW card table. Love sewing on both of them!!

I bought my 1/4" foot on Ebay. I also have a 1/4" throat plate mark that one of my girls came with. Wish I could find more of them.

I am looking to get a 1/4 foot for it though, right now I'm using one of those heavy duty magnetic seam guides to mark my 1/4".

I turned 60 yesterday (10 Nov) and I have a featherweight made near my birthday that has the 1851-1951 badge. I also have one from 1938. My first featherweight I purchased in Paducah when I went to the quilt show in 1995. It was made in 1952. It is not as pretty due to the decals in rough shape, but it still sews well. And, it was the machine to get me started in my love for the machines. I started repairing, carrying repair parts, and accessories for the machines and in January 2010 started my website!

I sell them on my website: www.thequiltgal.com. Go to Online Store, then Singer 221 Featherweight. I have two sizes for the black models and 1 size for the white model.
